What is Health Coaching?

 

Working with a Certified Functional Health Coach means working with a trained professional who can provide you with nutrition, wellness and lifestyle management tips. A Certified Functional Health Coach can help create a roadmap for success in all areas of your life - nutrition, fitness, relationships (with others, with yourself, with food and with stress), sleep, mindfulness and more.

 

We understand that wellness is more than just the food on your plate or the workout you do that day. Working with a functional health coach addresses the whole self, and creates the space for you to find your best self with helpful tools, tips, and practices.

We tailor our approach to best serve your needs - whatever they may be. Whether it is nutritional counseling, meal planning, formulating an exercise plan or creating a healthier sleep environment, a functional health coach is there to make it more attainable.

How does Health Coaching work?

​

An initial consultation will be scheduled to discuss your specific health and wellness goals one-on-one. Health is not one size fits all - and everyone’s journey looks different! 

 

Our individualized tailored approach is to understand the issues at the core - from there, we start from the ground up and begin to lay a new, healthier foundation. 

You will walk away from the consultation with a better understanding of your health journey, as well as tangible tips and tools to get started. From there, we begin an open forum of communication and create a program that is completely customized for you.

After each session, you will receive a detailed plan with specific recommendations and suggestions to begin implementing immediately. Follow-up appointments will be scheduled weekly, bi-monthly or once a month depending on your needs, where we will continue to dive deeper and provide you with more structure, tools, advice and support. Our doors are always open!

A Functional Health Coach encompasses a wide range of services. A few of the key areas a Functional Health Coach can help are:

NUTRITION & DIET COACHING

A large part of staying on track with your diet is having guidance and structure. Our Functional Coaches can assist with curating weekly meal plans, providing meal prep ideas and healthy recipe guides that best suit your dietary needs. Our Certified Functional Health Coaches are also trained Nutrition Coaches that can recommend local restaurants, menu choices and provide you with the tools to eat healthier to live healthier.    

 

CURATED EXERCISE PLANS  

Similar to diet, weekly exercise plans can be constructed to address your unique physical activity goals. Whether it is to build muscle, lose weight or to improve your mind-body connection, a Functional Health Coach also works as your Holistic Lifestyle Coach to set your week up for success and make sure that you are moving daily! 

 

WEIGHT LOSS COACHING

Health Coaches can help you lose weight in a holistic and sustainable way. A holistic weight loss plan is implemented through carefully constructed diet, lifestyle and exercise programs that are created with your weight loss goals in mind. 

 

LIFESTYLE & HEALTHY HABIT COACHING 

A Functional Health Coach can address all areas of your health and understands that health is more than just the food on your plate. With a focus on self-care, mindfulness and confidence building, they can work with you to create healthy and sustainable habits by providing you with the tools to help you form new, healthier habits.

Welcome...My name is Christy Sisniegas and I am so happy you are here! I strongly believe you are here for a reason. No two people need the exact same protocol for health and we will work together to incorporate what YOU need to live a healthy lifestyle.

 

My degrees and certifications are a BS in Kinesiology from Arizona State University, Certified Nutritionist Consultant and most recently an Adapt Certified Functional Health Coach. I am also a mother of two wonderful boys and I enjoy spending time with them, connecting with my family and friends, dancing and reading.

I know making changes is not always an easy task.. but I believe in YOU and will use my strengths to connect with you and create a safe place for growth and lasting lifestyle changes!
