Dr. Kristen Nye, L.Ac., D.Ac., Dipl. Ac.

Dr. Kristen Nye, L.Ac., DAc, Dipl. Ac., is a licensed and board-certified acupuncturist. She is a graduate of the Won Institute of Graduate Studies. Her education includes over 2700 hours of study in Eastern and Western medical practices. While at the Won Institute, she studied the art and science of acupuncture through a myriad of lenses, including: Traditional Chinese Medicine, Five Element Theory, Japanese Acupuncture, Korean Acupuncture and Sports Medicine Acupuncture. 

 

During her time in graduate school, Dr. Nye completed an apprenticeship at a practice specializing in Japanese acupuncture. She also interned at the outpatient “Go To Them Clinic” in downtown Philadelphia, where she treated members of impoverished and housing insecure populations, as well as the local veteran community.

 

Dr. Nye is well versed in additional treatment modalities such as cupping, tuina (Chinese medical massage), moxa, and gua sha.

 

In practice, she combines various modalities to create custom treatments for each patient. Every treatment is tailored to the patient’s unique needs and health goals. Her treatments can address a wide variety of health concerns, including: pain, stress, digestive issues, sleep disorders, and fertility.

 

Outside of the clinic, Dr.Nye enjoys tending to her herbal garden, hot yoga, house music, traveling to anywhere with a beach, playing piano (she is a classically trained pianist!), and hiking with her dog, Pepper.
